Continuing the series of Taiwan Scenery postage stamps begun in 2016, Chunghwa Post has released a new set of these stamps on four famous sites in Taoyuan City. Descriptions of their designs follow:
1. Longtan Large Tourist Pond (NT$8): Located in Taoyuan’s Longtan District, this pond is a tourist spot which combines the functions of irrigation and leisure. Its broad expanse, traversed by a beautiful suspension bridge, invites admiration for the beauty of the horizon at dusk.
2. Bade Pond Ecology Park (NT$15): Located in Taoyuan’s Bade District, this ecology park is centered on a pond. By coming close to the water, people can learn about the unique role ponds play in the irrigation of Taoyuan.
3. Lala Mountain Giant Trees (NT$20): The steep, forested peaks of Lala Mountain in Taoyuan’s Fuxing District satisfy the eye. The giant trees, ranging from about 500 up to 2,800 years old, enable tourists to learn from nature at first hand.
4. Caota Sand Dunes Geological Park (NT$28): Situated in Taoyuan City between the estuaries of the Laojie Creek in Dayuan District and the Dajue River in Guanyin District. The dunes are formed by strong north-easterly winds and an onshore south wind. The park is known as Taiwan’s Sahara Desert.

Personal greeting stamps without marginal inscriptions have been also released along
