Description
The PHILATAIPEI 2026 World Stamp Championship Exhibition is held on November 20-25, 2026, at Exhibition Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center. The theme of the exhibition is “Innovation and Sustainability.” To commemorate this major philatelic event, a set of two stamps and a souvenir sheet with the theme of “soaring dragons of innovation, flying geese of sustainability” have been issued. Featuring stamp-within-a-stamp designs, the stamps reinterpret two iconic stamps: the 1st Customs Dragon Issue (the Large Dragon Stamp) and a Flying Geese Stamp bearing no face value. These symbolize Chunghwa Post’s long history and its ongoing spirit of innovation. The stamps are described below:
1. The NT$17 stamp: The stamp features a 3-candarin Large Dragon Stamp. The dragon symbolizes strength and wisdom, conveying transformation and vitality. The overall design expresses Chunghwa Post’s commitment to continuing innovations and to development built upon its historical legacy.
2. The NT$28 stamp: The stamp features a Flying Geese Stamp bearing no face value. The flying geese embody unity and resilience, symbolizing transmission of mail and forward progress. The overall design reflects Chunghwa Post’s commitment to continual advancement and to the principle of sustainable development.
3. The souvenir sheet: It contains NT$17 and NT$28 stamps featuring the same designs as the previous two, printed in color offset with fine detail. The inscription design uses the PHILATAIPEI 2026 World Stamp Championship Exhibition logo as its main visual element.
To enhance the enjoyment of stamp collecting, three exclusive limited-edition gifts printed in color offset with fine detail have been specially released for the PHILATAIPEI 2026 World Stamp Championship Exhibition Commemorative Issue: the Rare Edition, the Limited Edition (Silver Version), and the Limited Edition (Gold Version). The Limited Editions (Silver and Gold Versions) incorporate blockchain technology for the first time, launching digital collectible editions that allow philatelists to enjoy the dual-collection experiences, both physical and digital.
