A maximum card is a picture postcard with a stamp and a cancellation on the picture side. The image of the stamp must be related to the postcard, and the cancellation must also be connected to the postcard and the stamp in some way and tie the stamp to the postcard. Pay special attention to the date of the cancellation, which must be within the period of validity of the postage stamp, the closer to the date of issuance the better. A stamp collection composed of maximum cards is called a maximaphily collection.
