Getting StartedPreservation and Storage

Last updated:2023/06/29 Print
Taiwan is an island, and the humid weather here poses a serious threat to stamps. Thus, it is very important to store your stamp collection with care.
As far as new stamps are concerned, the preservation of gum is most difficult. You can use crystal mounts to prevent your stamps from having direct contact with humid air, thus keeping them dry. For old stamps, you need to avoid creases, soils, or tears.

Put your stamp stockbooks and stamp albums in a dry environment away from direct sunlight. You should not lay your stamp stockbooks flat. Instead, keep them in a standing position.

Don′t touch your stamps with your hands! Get into the habit of using tongs to handle stamps so as to keep them in good condition.
